Texto da carta

Anule a mágica alvo. Profetizar {1}{U} (Durante o seu turno, você pode pagar {2} e exilar este card de sua mão voltado para baixo. Conjure-o em um turno posterior pagando seu custo de profetizar.)

"Que previsível."

Card Pros

Card Advantage: In the magical world of MTG, Saw It Coming card offers an interesting twist to gameplay. You essentially foretell it, letting it sit in exile until you decide to play it. This tactic often results in card advantage as you save it until the ideal moment.

Resource Acceleration: One of the key benefits of using Saw It Coming is the flexibility it offers. By foretelling it in early game, you can use your resources efficiently in the late game. This strategy proves beneficial in terms of resource acceleration, strategically disrupting your opponent’s plays while preserving your mana.

Instant Speed: Saw It Coming provides not just surprise but also speed. Even though the foretelling process isn’t an instant, once the card is in exile, it can be played at instant speed. This means you can strategically play this card when your opponent least expects it, effectively countering their moves.

Card Cons

Discard Requirement: There is a disadvantage related to the Saw It Coming card. Casting this card through foretell requires you to set it aside from your hand, which is kind of a forced discard. This may lead to a predictable game strategy, especially in a scenario where your resources are scarce.

Specific Mana Cost: Additionally, the Saw It Coming card comes with a specific mana cost. It requires you to have at least two blue mana sources which restricts its usage to decks majorly possessing blue mana. Any deck not rich in blue mana would find it difficult to optimize the usage of this card.

Comparatively High Mana Cost: Furthermore, the mana cost for the card can be deemed quite high compared to other counterspell cards. A cost of three mana might be problematic in the early rounds of the game, even with the foresight advantage. Some other counterspell cards may offer similar control at a lower mana cost.

Reasons to Include Saw It Coming in Your Collection

Versatility: Saw It Coming truly adds value to your deck with its inherent flexibility. The card, having Foretell ability, allows players to set it aside and cast it in later turns for a reduced cost, adding unpredictability to your game.

Combo Potential: This card works well with decks built around instant and sorcery spells, potentially disrupting game-altering plays by the opponents. It has a natural synergy with decks that focus on counterplay.

Meta-Relevance: Given the current meta that comprises numerous instant-speed spells, Saw It Coming can be a crucial addition. As control strategies continue to dominate, the ability to block an opponent’s key spell is a powerful tool, securing its relevance in the meta.

How to beat

Saw It Coming is a cunning blue spell card in Magic: The Gathering promising an intriguing two-for-one transaction. It departs from other counter spells thanks to its foresight ability, essentially allowing you to pay its cost in steps.

Comparable cards like Neutralize also present the capacity to counter a spell, but what makes Saw It Coming unique is the foretell ability. This permits you to pay its cost ahead of time, keeping the card in reserve for when you need it most. However, this approach has its risk as your opponents could foresee your strategy.

When compared to spells like Negate, which also counters noncreature spells, Saw It Coming might stand apart due to a higher cost. But, it brings the flexibility of dealing with any spell, whether it be creature, enchantment, sorcery, or instant. This adaptability can make it a versatile addition to your deck, but also indicates it needs to be utilized strategically.

To tackle Saw It Coming, it’s crucial to outrun your opponent in resources, overwhelm them with a multitude of spells, or employ cards that can’t be counteracted. Outsmarting Saw It Coming entails a profound comprehension of your opponent’s deck and the capacity to outmaneuver their game plan.

BurnMana Recommendations

Having delved into Saw It Coming’s pros and cons and its place in the current meta, it’s clear this card is a valuable arsenal for any blue deck strategist. Its capability to be cast at a reduced cost later on makes it a sensible addition for those looking to maintain momentum and surprise their opponents. If you’re building a deck that aims to control the game and keep your adversaries on their toes, Saw It Coming deserves your attention. With MTG’s ever-evolving landscape, keeping such versatile spells in your collection could tip the scales in your favor. Ready to improve your deck’s adaptability? Cartas similares a Já Sabia

Saw It Coming is an intriguing option in the realm of counterspell cards in MTG. It closely resonates with cards like Cancel, which conducts the same function of countering a spell. Yet, Saw It Coming truly distinguishes itself with the foretell mechanic – allowing you to pay part of the spell’s cost beforehand thereby serving as an excellent tool for tactical plays. While Cancel lacks this utility, it nonetheless embodies a reliable and forthright approach in its execution.

Just as compelling is Lofty Denial. Although it similarly counters target spell, it does carry a stipulation – it counts only if the casting player doesn’t pay 1 additional mana. Still, with its overall mana cost lesser than Saw It Coming and its instant speed, Lofty Denial does offer hefty advantages. On another hand, there’s Neutralize that, akin to Saw It Coming, costs 3 mana and also is an instant. It even adds the cycling feature providing a pinch more versatility.

In essence, when considering aspects and quantifying the worth of diverse options, Saw It Coming emerges as a commendable pick within counterspell cards in MTG owing to its strategic depth and tactical advantage.

Data Texto
2021-02-05 Because exiling a card with foretell from your hand is a special action, you can do so any time you have priority during your turn, including in response to spells and abilities. Once you announce you’re taking the action, no other player can respond by trying to remove the card from your hand.
2021-02-05 Casting a foretold card from exile follows the timing rules for that card. If you foretell an instant card, you can cast it as soon as the next player’s turn. In most cases, if you foretell a card that isn’t an instant (or doesn’t have flash), you’ll have to wait until your next turn to cast it.
2021-02-05 If you’re casting a foretold card from exile for its foretell cost, you can’t choose to cast it for any other alternative costs. You can, however, pay additional costs, such as kicker costs. If the card has any mandatory additional costs, those must be paid to cast the spell.
