Moon-Circuit Hacker brings an inventive twist to the lineup of prowess creatures in Magic: The Gathering. It bears resemblances to creatures like Stormchaser Mage, which also leverages casting noncreature spells to boost its power. What sets Moon-Circuit Hacker apart is its built-in evasiveness, with the hacking ability to potentially untap a land. Stormchaser Mage does not provide this kind of utility, focusing solely on its haste and prowess abilities.

Looking further, we find cards like Kiln Fiend that amplify their power significantly with each noncreature spell cast, though without the added perk of direct land interaction. Another related card to consider is Wee Dragonauts, which also gains a temporary boost with spell casting. However, Moon-Circuit Hacker introduces a strategic angle, offering the chance to untap a mana resource which can be crucial for maintaining tempo and flexibility within a game.

Overall, while each prowess creature has its unique strengths, Moon-Circuit Hacker is a noteworthy choice for decks that value the interplay between spells and creating openings for subsequent plays. The additional land interaction potential makes it a versatile option among its counterparts.

Card Pros

Card Advantage: Moon-Circuit Hacker offers the player a subtle yet effective way to infiltrate the deck, enabling the deliberate positioning of cards that can spell victory. It elegantly sidesteps the opponent’s defenses, ensuring you are always a step ahead with the right card up your sleeve.

Resource Acceleration: This character utilizes cunning and speed to outpace adversaries. By cleverly hacking into the game’s resources, it accelerates your access to vital mana. This can rapidly tip the scales in your favor, transforming the tide of the game with clever maneuvers.

Instant Speed: The swift tactics of Moon-Circuit Hacker can be deployed in the blink of an eye, catching opponents off-guard. Its instant speed not only allows for strategic surprises but also fortifies your defenses by letting you wait for the most opportune moment to act.

Card Cons

Discard Requirement: Moon-Circuit Hacker’s ability mandates that you discard another card as a part of its casting process. In scenarios where your hand is already depleted or you’re holding onto key cards for later plays, this can prove to be detrimental, forcing you into tough decisions about what to keep and what to throw away.

Specific Mana Cost: Requiring a precise combination of mana colors, this card demands both blue and black mana to cast. Deck strategies not aligned with the Dimir color identity might find this restrictive, potentially rendering it a less versatile pick in a deck-builder’s lineup.

Comparatively High Mana Cost: Clocking in at three mana, one might consider the mana investment for Moon-Circuit Hacker hefty compared to other options in this mana slot. Players aiming for an efficient mana curve might find it challenging to justify its inclusion over more cost-effective creatures or spells that serve similar purposes.

Reasons to Include in Your Collection

Versatility: Moon-Circuit Hacker offers valuable flexibility in deck building. Its ability to control the board early in the game makes it a versatile addition to many decks that favor disruption strategies.

Combo Potential: With its prowess in manipulating both players’ libraries, Moon-Circuit Hacker has potential for combo synergies that can exploit the knowledge of the upcoming draws, setting up powerful plays.

Meta-Relevance: In a meta where information is power, integrating Moon-Circuit Hacker could give players an edge by weaving in disruption that’s highly pertinent against decks reliant on specific card synergies.

How to beat

Moon-Circuit Hacker is known for its synergy with multicolored cards in MTG, offering a substantial boost when it emerges onto the battlefield. Its hijacking ability makes it a formidable threat that can swing the momentum in your opponent’s favor. To counter this clever infiltrator, prioritize removal spells that can target it the moment it’s cast. Cards like Fatal Push or Bloodchief’s Thirst are apt choices, capable of dealing with the Hacker before its ability becomes a factor.

In games where the Hacker is already active and nibbling away at your resources, having a sweeper, such as Wrath of God or Supreme Verdict, can clear the board and reset the field. Efficient spell management will maintain board control and keep their multicolored mischief at bay. Keep in mind, vigilance against the Hacker’s antics is crucial; one careless turn could lead to a cascade of issues if its ability is left unchecked. Always have a removal spell in hand, and don’t let your guard down.

Considering the Hacker’s reliance on multicolored spells, another strategy is to limit the impact of those. Using cards to restrict or exile your opponent’s graveyard can render the Hacker’s ability less potent, ensuring that the substantial advantage it seeks remains out of reach.

BurnMana Recommendations

If you’re an MTG enthusiast looking to refine your gameplay, Moon-Circuit Hacker is a card worthy of consideration. Its capacity to shape the battlefield with subtle card positioning can be a game-changer, and its clever mana acceleration is a boon to players who thrive on maintaining a step ahead. Despite its few drawbacks, such as the discard requirement, the card’s combo potential and strategic depth add a layer of sophistication to your deck. For those angling to exploit the meta with disruptive tactics, Moon-Circuit Hacker could be the secret weapon you need. Dive deeper into its mechanics and discover how this card can streamline your strategies on the road to victory.

Data Texto
2022-02-18 Although the Ninja is attacking, it was never declared as an attacking creature (for purposes of abilities that trigger whenever a creature attacks, for example).
2022-02-18 As you activate a ninjutsu ability, you reveal the Ninja card in your hand and return the attacking creature. The Ninja card stays revealed and isn't put onto the battlefield until the ability resolves. If it leaves your hand before then, it won't enter the battlefield at all.
2022-02-18 If a creature in combat has first strike or double strike, you can activate the ninjutsu ability during the first-strike combat damage step. The Ninja will deal combat damage during the regular combat damage step, even if it has first strike.
2022-02-18 Puff of smoke not included.
2022-02-18 The creature with ninjutsu enters the battlefield attacking the same player or planeswalker that the returned creature was attacking. This is a rule specific to ninjutsu; in other cases, when a creature is put onto the battlefield attacking, that creature's controller chooses which player or planeswalker it's attacking.
2022-02-18 The ninjutsu ability can be activated during the declare blockers step, combat damage step, or end of combat step. In most cases (see below), if you wait until the combatdamage step or end of combat step, it will be after combat damage has been dealt, so the Ninja won't deal combat damage.
2022-02-18 The ninjutsu ability can be activated only after blockers have been declared. Before then, attacking creatures are neither blocked nor unblocked.
