Texto de la carta

Pie-roclasm deals π damage to each non-Clown creature. (How to calculate π isn't important. It's a smidgen more than 3.)

Card Pros

Card Advantage: Omniclown Colossus ensures that you’re always a step ahead in a match. Its unique abilities allow you to draw additional cards, adeptly maintaining lead over your opponent by replenishing your resources on the battlefield.

Resource Acceleration: This powerhouse also excels at speeding up your game play. Accelerating your resources exponentially, it gets you to the crucial high mana costs quickly, so you can deploy your game-ending strategies in no time.

Instant Speed: With Pie-roclasm, having instant speed is a game-changer. It permits reactive play, letting you adapt to the evolving game state on the fly. This means you can spring into action with it at the most opportune moment, potentially swinging the game in your favor.

Card Cons

Discard Requirement: Omniclown Colossus // Pie-roclasm demands that you discard another card as part of its casting cost. This can be particularly taxing when your hand size is dwindling, potentially forcing you to make some tough decisions on what to keep and what to throw away. Such a requirement could place you at a disadvantage, especially against opponents who are adept at controlling the tempo and resources within the game.

Specific Mana Cost: The Pie-roclasm side of this unique card demands a carefully constructed mana base, as it requires a specific combination of red and colorless mana. This could restrict its inclusion to decks that can consistently produce the exact mana without compromising their strategy or tempo, potentially limiting its versatility across a wider range of deck archetypes.

Comparatively High Mana Cost: The casting cost of Omniclown Colossus is on the higher end of the spectrum, making it a card that fits into the later stages of game play. While its impact might be significant, it competes with other high-cost cards that might bring immediate advantage or have a more resilient presence on the battlefield. Balancing when and where to play this card is crucial, as it can be a dead draw when a quicker response is required to maintain your standing in the game.

Reasons to Include in Your Collection

Versatility: Omniclown Colossus // Pie-roclasm offers a dual nature that can easily adapt to various deck archetypes. Its ability to act as a substantial threat as the Colossus or as a game-changing spell with Pie-roclasm, allows it to fit into multiple strategies seamlessly.

Combo Potential: With its transformative capacity, this card holds the potential to synergize with numerous combos. As the Colossus, it can become a towering force on the board, whereas its Pie-roclasm side can clear the way for a finishing move or reset the board to your advantage.

Meta-Relevance: Given that metagames often fluctuate, owning a card with the flexibility to tackle various oppositions is invaluable. Whether you’re contending with swarms of creatures or need a resilient threat, Omniclown Colossus // Pie-roclasm ensures you have a response at the ready, making it a powerful asset in an ever-changing MTG landscape.

How to beat

Omniclown Colossus stands tall as a formidable creature card in the world of MTG. It’s not just its sheer size that commands attention; its ability to disrupt the battlefield with Pie-roclasm is what makes it a challenge to counter. To effectively tackle this juggernaut, players must strategize around its strengths. This may involve a combination of removal spells to take it down before it unleashes chaos or employing counterspells as a preventive measure.

Another approach is to focus on controlling the board state through strategic spellcasting or laying out decoys to absorb the damage from Pie-roclasm. It’s also important to keep in mind the timing of Omniclown Colossus’s flip into Pie-roclasm – understanding this transformation can be the key to pinpointing the perfect moment to strike. Utilizing exile effects or sacrificing weaker creatures to maintain a stronger board presence can turn the tide of the game. Remember, with the right strategy, even the most chaotic colossi can be brought to their knees.

Ultimately, overcoming Omniclown Colossus // Pie-roclasm comes down to a thoughtful game plan and timely execution, which can act as the cornerstone of a successful match-up in MTG, neutralizing potential threats and ensuring your deck’s resilience against such powerful cards.

Cartas como Omniclown Colossus // Pie-roclasm

Omniclown Colossus // Pie-roclasm is a unique creation that reminds MTG players of other commanding creatures and spells with quirky and powerful effects. Comparable to the likes of Warp World, the Pie-roclasm variant stirs the pot with its ability to potentially alter the board state in your favor, similar to the chaos Warp World creates with its complete shuffle and redeal of all permanents.

On the flip side, the Colossus component echoes the vast stature of creatures such as Blightsteel Colossus. Although it lacks the infect mechanic, its sheer size and trample ability still make it a formidable threat on the battlefield. Then there’s Gruul Ragebeast, whose fight mechanic offers control over the board by forcing your creatures to battle opponents’ creatures upon entering the battlefield. While Omniclown Colossus doesn’t directly control the board, its combined potential for massive damage output can clear the way for a winning strike.

Considering the double-faced nature and flexibility, Omniclown Colossus // Pie-roclasm presents a duality that can adapt to various game situations, making it a multifaceted option for players seeking both surprise and brute force in their arsenal.

Reglas e información

La guía de referencia para las reglas de las cartas Omniclown Colossus // Pie-roclasm de Magic: The Gathering proporciona las reglas oficiales, las erratas emitidas, así como un registro de todas las modificaciones funcionales que se han producido.

Fecha Texto
2022-10-07 A single Pie-roclasm will destroy all non-Clown creatures with toughness 3 or less. Two will destroy all non-Clown creatures with toughness 6 or less. Three, with toughness 9 or less. Four, with toughness 12 ½ or less. That’s a lot of pie.
2022-10-07 All the rulings from this point on are about how to play with Adventures. If you are an experienced adventurer, you can venture forth.
2022-10-07 An adventurer card is a permanent card in every zone except the stack, as well as while on the stack if not cast as an Adventure. Ignore its alternative characteristics in those cases. For example, while it’s in your graveyard, Omniclown Colossus is a red artifact creature card whose mana value is 10.
2022-10-07 If a spell is cast as an Adventure, its controller exiles it instead of putting it into its owner’s graveyard as it resolves. For as long as it remains exiled, that player may cast it as a permanent spell. If an Adventure spell leaves the stack in any way other than resolving (Pie-roclasm doesn’t require targets, so most likely by being countered), that card won’t be exiled and the spell’s controller won’t be able to cast it as a creature later.
2022-10-07 If an adventurer card ends up in exile for any other reason than by exiling itself while resolving, it won’t give you permission to cast it as a creature spell.
2022-10-07 If an effect copies an Adventure spell, that copy is exiled as it resolves. It ceases to exist as a state-based action; it’s not possible to cast the copy as a creature.
2022-10-07 If an object becomes a copy of an object that has an Adventure, the copy also has an Adventure. If it changes zones, it will either cease to exist (if it’s a token) or cease to be a copy (if it’s a nontoken permanent), and so you won’t be able to cast it as an Adventure.
2022-10-07 If damage from Pie-roclasm gets redirected to a player, just use 3.14.
2022-10-07 Only the Omniclown Colossus has affinity for Clowns. Pie-roclasm is indifferent toward Clowns and will not cost less for each Clown you control.
2022-10-07 When casting a spell as an Adventure, use the alternative characteristics and ignore all of the card’s normal characteristics. The spell’s color, mana cost, mana value, and so on are determined by only those alternative characteristics. If the spell leaves the stack, it immediately resumes using its normal characteristics.
2022-10-07 You must still follow any timing restrictions and permissions for the creature spell you cast from exile. Normally, you’ll be able to cast it only during your main phase while the stack is empty.
